  • Our Vision

Love God, Love the Church, and Love Others

    Love God

We exist to develop hearts for God

37 And he said to him, “You shalllove the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 Anda second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

    Matthew 22:37–40 (ESV)

Though worship is not directly mentioned in Matthew 22:37-40, the attitude and understanding of it is the foundation for the entire passage.

    Love the Church

We exist to develop hearts for the Church body.

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near..

    Hebrews 10:24–25 (ESV)

Understanding that the church is the body of Christ, we provide opportunities for members to develop deep relationships with on another.

    Love Others

We exist to develop Love for those who do not know Christ.

14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless theyare sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preachthe good news!

    Romans10:14-15 (ESV)

God has chosen to use the church, people like you and me, to carry the gospel to the world. We offer a wide variety of opportunities to engage in mission activities.

  • What we believe

    BIBLICAL AUTHORITY

We believe God so guided the writers of the Bible that the original manuscripts were completely without error. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. Itis the final authority on all matters of faith, practice, and polity. The tradition of men, human opinion, false science, religious creeds, nor popular opinion override the plain teaching of God’s Word. The Bible is inspired and preserved by God and carries His absolute authority. Baptists believe the Bible and strive to live according to its teaching. It is the Divine Revelation of God to man and is the complete and infallible guide to faith and life.  2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21

    GOD

There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. To him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

    GOD the Father

God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:1,26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1, 4:24; Acts 5:3; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

    GOD the Son

Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself the demands and necessities of human nature and identifying Himself completely with humankind but without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of humans from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, partaking of the nature of God and of humans, and in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and humans. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever present Lord. (Isaiah 53; Matthew 20:28; John 3:16; Romans 3:24-26; 5:1; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 2:2; Matthew 28:6; Romans 10:9; 1 Corinthians 15:14)

    GOD the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination He enables humans to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He calls humans to the Savior, and effects regeneration. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the Christian is the assurance of God to bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service. (John 14:15-17,25-26; 15:26-27; 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; 2:1-41; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

    Salvation

We believe that our salvation is based on Jesus’ death and resurrection and can never be lost. Anyone who has truly come to God by faith can never fall away. (Matthew 7:21-23; Matthew 24:22,31; 25:34; John 1:12-14; 3:16; 5:24; 6:44-45,65; 10:27-29; 15:16; Romans 5:9-10; 8:28-39; 10:13; 1 Peter 1:2-5; 1 John 2:19)

    Man

We believe God created man in His own image for the purpose of having a relationship with him. Every person is in need of salvation in that he/she has sinned and caused his/her own separation from God. (Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-24; Romans 3:25; 5:12-18; 1 John 1:8)

    Baptism

We believe that baptism by immersion is an important act of obedience but is not necessary for salvation. It is a symbolic act by which a believer makes a public statement of faith in Jesus through His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:35-39; 10:44-48; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:13)

    The Lord's Supper

We believe that taking part in the Lord’s Supper is an important act of obedience for believers. It is an act of worship by which we honor the sacrifice of Jesus’ body and blood and His promise to return some day. It is not necessary for salvation. (Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
